Athens Panoramic Walking Tour - Half-Day
From March 4th to November 5th - Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon
Meet your guide/assistant in Syntagma Square to explore the most beautiful part of the city center on this walking tour. We'll begin with a visit to Syntagma Square, the Parliament, and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, where we'll see the changing of the guard. Next, we'll pass Hadrian's Arch and head to the Plaka area, the oldest part of the city, with its narrow, picturesque streets. Plaka has various souvenir shops and traditional taverns. We'll head up Filopappos Hill via the beautiful pedestrian street of Dionisios Aeropagitou, admiring all the surrounding monuments of the Acropolis Hill and the Filopappou Observatory. We'll climb Filopappou Hill (also known as the Hill of the Muses) to enjoy the beautiful view of the Parthenon and part of the city. Immediately afterward, we'll pass by the Roman Agora and finally sample the famous "Souvlaki" at a traditional restaurant near Monastiraki Square. The tour will end in Monastiraki Square.
